I knew the perfect location for Allie’s Senior photos as soon as she asked me to capture them. I didn’t tell her until she asked, of course. But anyone that knows Allie, knows that she is a girl that loves her family and anything that connects to it. From the moment I met Allie I could see her connection with her Mom. She told me how much she adored her Grandmother. Not to mention how she lived for days she could go to their Family cottage with everyone. Her cousins were not only were like younger siblings, but also built in best friends she would do anything for. So obviously when Allie said she wasn’t really sure where she should go, I kind of laughed asked if she was sure. I suggested maybe she would find the family cottage would represent who she was. The smile on her face said it all.
Once we were done, we had been to the family cottage and the boatyard owned by Allie’s Grandfather. Allie had carefully chosen things to add to her session that were significant to her. If you look closely you will see a bracelet from her Grandmother, plus her Grandmother’s heels and her Grandfather’s sailboat. What you won’t see is the endless family members that were at the cottage that day. Her cousins even came along to one of the locations, biking, running and even hopping on a gulf cart to get there! They sat and watched in the background and even helped film some behind the scenes shots! (Shout out to Declan!) It was a fabulous time and as you can see a choice that made Allie extremely happy!
After photos were finished we had dinner hosted by Allie’s Grandmother with a gorgeous sunset over the lake. It was a great day and I enjoyed getting to meet all of the Leonard family. I wish all the best to Allie in this next journey. I know that like so many others in her family she will be an amazing educator for all our future students!
