Are you looking for a way to help?
For the last two weeks or so I have been trying to wrap my head around all that has been going on lately. I know I am not alone. We are trying to do our part by washing our hands, staying home, watching the daily updates- all while trying not to lose our minds over what we are seeing. Not knowing how long this will last or just how many this will hurt. The list of unknowns is endless.
It’s important to remember the things we have to be thankful for. Especially the people who are keeping things turning while we put our lives on “pause.” Our lives, so many lives, depend on them doing their jobs. Except now, we aren’t asking them to just go to work like any other day. We are asking them to leave their homes, facing the enemy, sometimes leaving their families with an unknown return date, others knowing they will come back, but afraid of what they may bring home with them to those they love. It is A LOT. We are asking a lot and they are not hesitating to take care of us, like they have many times before, but this time at a greater cost.
So during my time in this #stayhome order, I have been searching for how I could help, give back, do something, anything. If you know me, you are aware that I am a people person, I love to make people happy. I don’t do handshakes, I am a hugger. I love to do things to make others see how special they are-even if that means being weird and crazy. (It’s ok guys, I embrace it!) But anything that would normally be my instinct just can’t be safely done right now.
Then I was inspired by @anastasiachomlack and her great idea!
These sessions offer a complimentary session to a front line essential worker for each session we book. So for the entire month of April, if you invest in a session with me, you can nominate an essential worker to be gifted a session in return!
What better way to say “thank you” than a gift that will capture what means most to them and they can swoon over for years?

All photo sessions to be scheduled when social distancing guidelines have been lifted.
