The first thing that I learned about Emily was that she was a girl that new what she wanted! From the moment she called me to inquire about Senior photos she had a list of what she knew she wanted to be included. She had some ideas, places, and people all in mind. Once we sat down and worked out how to tell her story in a way that would allow for best pieces of her to shine and include all the things that would make her happy, I think we had an experience that was an all around blast!
If you know Emily already, you know that she is bright, happy, giggly but also particular about the things and people that she loves. She is protective and of her loved ones and when they are happy, it puts her at ease. But when it comes to herself, Emily likes to have things a certain way. Which, at just 17, is pretty impressive to be able to not just pull off but be able to communicate in the manner that she does. She is not shy about making her decisions and opinions known!
On the day of Emily’s session we met a Highland Park with her sister Sam. Because of the way that things are in society right now, there were hardly any people around. Those who were though, could not help but watch these two sisters giggling endlessly together! I may not have noticed if this was only happening a few times, but this was the case- the entire session!
The best part of the evening was when the sequin jumper came out- YES you read that right! I have had this amazing piece in my style closet for-ev-er. Well Emily decided it had to be hers for her session! I can’t even tell you the amount of people who stopped simply to tell her that they LOVED the outfit. One woman even opened her car door to be able to call over to us across the street and tell Emily how much she was killing the look!
Which outfit did you like best? Tell us all about it below!
